NLT using Scoop-in-a-Box
Swedish newspaper moving to Scoop integrated publishing system.
Nya Lidköpings-Tidningen (NLT) is a newspaper publishing 3 days a week and printing 26,500 copies.
The paper was founded in 1903 and has not used an integrated publishing system previously. Until now, every issue was produced with regular word processing software and QuarkXPress.
NLT has now ordered Scoop-in-a-Box as integrated system for the newsroom. The installation will be in the end of August.
System details
• Reporters and page editors will use Mac OS X. The installation will be for up to 20 reporters and 20 page editors (sub editors).
• Planning is made with NewsPlanner.
• Articles are written with Scoop Edit or WebEdit.
• DTP is made with Scoop Edit integrated with Quark 6.5.
• Page monitoring is made with PageTrack connected to the Tietoenator ad system.
• Archive is made with eLibrary.
• Web publishing is made with ePaper as well as Polopoly.
